I hereby challenge Putin to a single combat match, with Ukraine as the stakes: Elon Musk

Elon Musk tweeted that he wants to battle Russian strongman Vladimir Putin in single combat for Ukraine.

The challenge was part of a string of tweets sent out by Tesla founder Elon Musk on Monday.

A meme about the invasion was among them, as was a remark from Macbeth Musk, 50, who tagged the Kremlin's official English language account in his message.

Previously, the billionaire was accused of tweeting while inebriated.

On the request of Ukrainian officials, he has launched satellites to Ukraine and offered his Starlink internet service network to the country.

Elon Musk, the inventor of Tesla, has challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to a fight over Ukraine in a tweet that included invasion memes and references to Macbeth.

Musk tweeted Monday, 'I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat,' putting Putin's name in Russian. 'The stakes are Ukraine,' he said, writing in Ukrainian the country's name.

The apparent challenge was part of a rush of tweets sent out by Musk, 50, over the course of three hours, including the line "By the pricking of my thumbs..." from Shakespeare's Macbeth, which is followed by the statement "Something terrible this way coming."

'Netflix waiting for the conflict to end to film a movie about a black ukraine guy falling in love with a transgender russian soldier,' he wrote in another tweet, which included an image of a character from the Netflix programme Narcos sitting on a porch swing.

At the request of Ukrainian officials, the South African billionaire has been providing internet to Ukraine via his Starlink satellite service.

While it's unknown what prompted Monday's tweets, artist Azealia Banks has accused Musk of tweeting while under the influence of the psychedelic drug LSD, which Musk has denied.

Musk tweeted on Monday, 'I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat,' putting Putin's name in Russian. 'The stakes are Ukraine,' he continued, penning the country's name in Ukrainian and tagging the official Kremlin account in the process.

What prompted the South African billionaire's remark on Monday is unknown. In the photo above, Russian President Vladimir Putin is seen training with the national judo team in Sochi, Russia in 2019.

Musk ended his challenge by addressing the Kremlin directly.

He wrote, tagging the Kremlin's official Twitter account, 'Do you consent to this fight?'

'There is a beauty to the biological substrate,' he wrote in a cryptic tweet earlier Monday.

Musk, who is worth an estimated $218.9 billion, made fun of Russian officials earlier this month as the US tightens sanctions in retribution for Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

'In this situation, we are unable to provide the United States with our world-class rocket engines.' On March 3, Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia's space agency, said on state Russian television, "Let them fly on something else, their broomsticks, I don't know what."

His appeal came as parts of Ukraine were left without internet access after three days of Russian missile bombardment.

Locals are encouraged to stay connected by officials so that their stories may be used to counter Russian propaganda and so that they can share crimes committed by Russian forces on behalf of Vladimir Putin.

Musk returned the call the next day and stated that he would be shipping Starlink receivers to the country.

In Ukraine, the Starlink service is presently operational. 'More terminals on the way,' Musk tweeted a few hours after the unusual request.

Starlink is a space-based technology that SpaceX has been developing for years in order to deliver internet connection to remote parts of the globe.

During a video conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on March 5, Musk told him that SpaceX will launch more Starlink satellite stations.

The president of the besieged country thanked Musk for his support on Twitter and offered him to visit Ukraine once the war is ended.

'Had a conversation with @elonmusk. I appreciate his comments and actions in support of Ukraine. 'We will receive another batch of Starlink systems for damaged cities next week,' Zelensky posted on Twitter.

Musk, who said he'looks forward to visiting Ukraine once the war is over, sent a collection of antennas to Ukraine earlier this month after Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal expressed concern that Ukrainians might lose internet access if Russia continues to bomb communications towers, as it did with the bombing of a Kyiv TV tower.

After disputing Azealia Banks' accusations that she spent a weird weekend at his LA home watching him have a meltdown over his 'drug-induced' tweets, Musk confessed that he did visit her in 2018.

The Tesla CEO told the New York Times that he ran into the rapper after working out early in the morning.

He stated that it was the 'first and only time he'd ever seen her.'

Musk claimed he'd never met Banks when she spotted him freaking out over his tweet stating he'd already secured funds to take his company private.

'I saw him in the kitchen, burying his tail between his legs, scrounging for investors to cover his arse after that tweet,' Banks said last weekend of Musk. 'He was tense and his cheeks was flushed. I waited all weekend as Grimes coddled her lover for being too stupid to know not to go on Twitter while high.'

Banks was reportedly invited to Musk's home by his girlfriend Grimes, who was arranging a song with Banks.

Banks' accusations were dismissed as "total rubbish" by a Musk representative, who also denied that Musk had ever met the rapper.

They told Business Insider, 'Elon has never met Ms. Banks or engaged with her in any manner.'
