Natasha Bassett, an Australian actress, is making news due to rumours about her alleged new relationship with Elon Musk.
Musk, 50, and Bassett, 27, were first seen together on February 17th, despite the fact that they haven't confirmed anything. When the Tesla and SpaceX CEO arrived in Los Angeles on his private plane, he was accompanied by a "mystery woman," according to images posted by the Daily Mail.
A source close to Musk told Hollywood Life the next day that the woman was Bassett, and that she is now dating the billionaire.
They "have only been dating for a couple of months, but they are already in a monogamous relationship," according to the insider.
"They've been spending a lot of time together and are very much into each other," the person stated.
While Bassett's rumoured romance has received a lot of attention, she is a well-known actress who has been in the spotlight before.
Britney Ever After, a Lifetime television biographical film, starred Bassett as Britney Spears in 2017. Bassett's role as a major pop star in this film was a watershed event in her career.
In February 2017, Bassett told TheWrap about Britney Ever After, "It's exhilarating yet nerve-racking at the same time."
"It's also terrifying to play someone I've grown up idolising because I have so much respect and regard for Britney," she continued.
Aside from this biopic, Bassett starred opposite George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, and Josh Brolin in the 2016 comedy picture Hail, Caesar! She also starred in the action comedy Spy Intervention, which will be released in 2020.
In terms of her more recent work, Bassett is due to star in the upcoming film Elvis, which will hit theatres on June 24.
Bassett also has some writing and directing experience, having directed and written her first short film, Kite, in 2013.
And if Musk is dating Bassett, it will be his first relationship since splitting from Canadian musician Grimes in September 2021 after three years together.
After their breakup, Grimes and Musk remained on "excellent terms," as they have a one-year-old son, X A-Xii.
Musk and his ex-wife Justine Musk have 18-year-old twins, Xavier and Griffin, and 16-year-old triplets, Kai, Saxon, and Damian, in addition to their one-year-old. Musk and Justine welcomed their first child, Nevada, in 2002, however she died at the age of ten weeks due to sudden infant death syndrome.
