The record was previously held by Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. They had first portrayed Spider-Man and Green Goblin respectively in Sam Raimi's 2002 film 'Spider-Man' and later reprised their roles in Tom Holland-starrer 2021 film 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. Actors Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe have set a new Guinness World record for longest career as live-action Marvel characters.
