Health expenditure FY 22 expected to be ₹4.72 lakh cr, 73% more than FY20's



The Centre's expenditure on the health sector during FY22 is projected to increase by 73% to ₹4.72 lakh crore when compared with FY20, the Economic Survey said. "Although the pandemic has affected almost all social services, yet the health sector was the worst hit," it added. The government expenditure on the health sector was ₹2.73 lakh crore in FY20 (pre-COVID).
